Getting Around Town

These are the metro passes cards that work for subways, buses, YouBike, and more.
Each unit has three metro passes that are also coded as front door keys for the unit. If you happen to lose one of these cards, please contact Andrew immediately so that he can deactivate the card and prevent it being used to unlock the apartment door. Please refill the balance to approximately the amount it started with as a courtesy to the next guest.

The Zhongshan station is located right outside the apartment and can be access via stair/escalator at the R4 entrance or if preferred, via elevator at the R5 entrance.
Entering via the R4 and R5 entrances will put you in the underground metro mall which runs south past the Q Square mall all the way to the Airport MRT/Taipei Main Station and north to Shuanglian Station. This is a good shortcut for inclement/hot weather.

This is the bike rental system that can be accessed using the provided Easy Cards (Note - YouBike only accepts Easy Cards that are registered to a Taiwan resident). Alternatively, you can pay using a credit card.

Uber is the recommended way to navigate the city if the subway is insufficient. This is also a viable option for airport transfers.
Traditional taxis can be found on all major streets, but hailing one and communicating with the driver can be challenging. The main advantage of taking a taxi instead of an Uber is that it may be faster depending on circumstances, but your mileage may vary.

If you would prefer to prearrange transportation for the airport, local car hire services are a viable option. As of December 2025, a standard airport transfer costs 1,000 NTD and a passenger van costs 1,300 NTD. For more details, please contact Andrew.
